6 Pretty Spring Shoe Trends That Will Fly Out of Stock First
Feel free to disagree with me, but I find the best thing about spring fashion is the shoes. It's the prettiest season of the year for shoe trends and a welcome change from boots once the snow and ice melt. This probably has something to do with why designers lean into "prettiness" when dreaming up their shoes for spring. We're all ready for it. See you in November, brown suede boots!
Given my deep-rooted shoe obsession, I was quite happy to spend a couple of hours scrolling through spring 2024 runway images in search of the prettiest shoes. I spotted a few themes while I was at it, and the below trends I'm highlighting are so pretty and wearable that I'm sure they'll sell out in a flash. So before that happens, keep scrolling to shop some of the best pairs for each pretty trend. You'll thank me when the compliments start rolling in.
Satin
Satin shoes are set to be perhaps the biggest shoe trend of S/S 24, and Prada, among others, made a great case for this on its latest runway. My best advice is to order a pair before they sell out, and avoid wearing them on rainy days.

Bow-Adorned
Bows are everywhere right now—including on the feet of the S/S 24 Chanel models. This sweet trend is best when worn with sophisticated, elegant outfits.

Patent Leather
When it's the right shoe in the right color, I find patent leather to be quite pretty. And given that it was all over the runways of Sabato De Sarno's first collection for Gucci, I have a feeling it's going to be a big one.

Fishnet
Thanks to Alaïa, fishnet shoes are a big deal. At first, Alaïa owned the trend, but now other brands are fully on board. To me, this signals that the trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Burgundy
I personally love the irony of burgundy—a typical fall and winter color—as a spring shoe trend. It was all over the runways of Prada and Gucci for spring. I find that it works with practically any other color, making it a great investment.

Cap-Toe
Chanel made us fall in love with cap-toe shoes long ago, and this colorful Miu Miu pair solidified how pretty cap toes can be.
