This Celeb-Loved Staple Is the Secret to Making My Outfits 10 Times Chicer
Now that summer has finally arrived, I've been making some fresh updates to my wardrobe, especially in the basics department. One item I've been particularly obsessed with lately is bodysuits. While they're unquestionably a year-round staple, I always have them on heavy rotation in the warm-weather months. After all, it's one of the most versatile items in my closet, and whether I'm teaming it with a midi skirt, jeans, shorts, or linen trousers, a bodysuit makes every summer outfit infinitely more chic.
Bodysuits are the hero piece for a ton of stylish celebrities too. Lately, I've spotted plenty of sleek and pretty iterations out and about—from Alicia Vikander's gorgeous Khaite bodysuit that she styled with jeans and strappy sandals in Cannes to sleek, minimal varieties spotted on Jennifer Lopez and Hailey Beiber.
The moral of the story is that if you want your outfit to look sleek and elegant this summer, then you can't go wrong with a bodysuit. And since there are so many fashion-forward styles for summer—from spaghetti straps to low backs and high necklines—you're guaranteed to find a bodysuit to suit you.
If you're looking to add one to your summer repertoire, I'm sharing some of my absolute favorites for the warm-weather season, which you can easily mix and match with other items in your closet.
Vikander shows us that a wide-leg pair of jeans looks all the chicer when paired with a stunning off-the-shoulder bodysuit. Perfect for day or night.
On Alicia Vikander: Khaite Rafael Off-the-Shoulder Bodysuit ($920) and Hewey Studded Jeans ($580); Ana Khouri earrings and bracelet
The beautiful bodysuit celebs can't get enough of.
Just add high-waisted white linen pants and bold earrings for a beach-to-bar look.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the queen of chic bodysuits. Lean into her quiet-luxury look and pair a nude bodysuit with flowy wide-leg white pants. Finish with a beige blazer. Seriously chic.
On Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Hermès bodysuit; The Row pants; Toteme blazer
This comes in various colors, but I can't take my eyes off this statement green.
Throw on loose tailored trousers and a relaxed linen shirt over the top for an effortless look.
You'll be reaching for this versatile bodysuit on repeat.
Jennifer Lopez shows us the power of a simple black-and-white ensemble. Just pair a basic white bodysuit with loosely tailored black trousers and a cropped cardi. Easy and chic.
