I Just Found the Chicest Zoom-Ready Tops on the High Street
I imagine that we're all well-acquainted with Zoom dressing by now, and "comfy on the bottom, party on the top" is probably the phrase that best describes the situation. When all that can be seen of your outfit is a cheeky glimpse of the top third of your body, the humble top is suddenly the star of the show, and with great power comes great responsibility. Yep, it's time to up our blouse game.
Luckily, the high street has delivered on this front, and there have been three styles, in particular, from Topshop that have caught my eye this season. All easy to throw on but certainly not lacking in drama, they're practical-yet-polished looks for long WFH days. (I would know.) Below, I've styled the tops with my favourite L'Agence flared jeans—take note for future date nights—but they look just as good with trousers, slip skirts and shorts.
From a dramatic smocked number to a pastel-coloured party piece, scroll down to shop the Topshop tops I'm loving this season.

Style Notes: The smocked blouse is definitely having a moment right now, and this Topshop iteration is arguably one of the best on the high street. Seriously statement-making yet unexpectedly flattering, this is the perfect top to wear with jeans and heels. The fabric is also robust enough to make it feel more premium than its £10 sale price tag.

Style Notes: There is a risk that this top could feel a little "6-year-old at a princess party," but the taffeta fabric creates a more dramatic silhouette and the lilac hue is very S/S 20. I also like how my L'Agence flares offer a more grown-up finish and make it look evening-ready.

Style Notes: The moment I showed TeamBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing this smocked blouse, they instantly fell in love. Not always the easiest style to wear, this Topshop Boutique iteration manages to feel flattering thanks to the necktie collar and dramatic sleeves. It'll also look just as good with jeans and boots as it does with flares and heels.
