The ability to organise a wardrobe is a skill that few have perfected. It can be incredible time-consuming and pretty stressful. Thankfully, there are a load of closet apps that help you sort through the rubbish to help streamline your outfits. But which apps are actually going to help you decide whether you need that pair of pink fluffy sandals that you've only worn once or if you should chuck out that thirteenth Breton top that has holes in it? I hunted down the highest-rated wardrobe-organising apps and tested them to work out which ones are the best. I managed to whittle it down to four that you will genuinely find useful and helped me do a big sort-out. Keep scrolling to get your clothes in order.
How to use: The idea is to take pictures of pieces you have in your wardrobe to then have a bank of items to select from for whatever day, event, occasion you have going on.
Why it's good: It will help you actually work out what you have in your wardrobe and which pieces you actually wear (leading to you being able to get rid of stuff you don't). You can also create favourites and add important events in a calendar to which you can assign an outfit. If you were really organised, you could have your work outfits on rotation across different weeks and you'd never worry about what to wear ever again. It also looks great and is pretty easy to use. The only issue is if you want to use some other features, such as the packing list as you have to pay for that.

How to use: For the time-strapped and fans of a minimal wardrobe, this one's for you. You don't have to take photos of everything in your closet. Instead, you can just select from a list of pictures of garments you probably own (jeans, white tees etc). From these products, you can then create outfits from what you have.
Why it's good: The app will also suggest outfit ideas for you, which is almost like having Cher Horowitz's wardrobe in Clueless. The dream.

How to use: Similar to Closet+, you can upload your own pictures of your clothes and then create outfits for different occasions and events.
Why it's good: While there are some features that we're not so bothered about (personal styling), this is a great way to document all your belongings in one place. You can even work out when you need to wash a garment and where you last wore it.

How to use: Again, you will need to upload images of your wardrobe contents. However, once that's done, you get tips on what to wear that day according to weather and date.
Why it's good: One recent review on iTunes said they loved this app as it was a great way to avoid purchasing new clothes. It's also brilliant if you live somewhere with changeable weather as you can put in the conditions for the day and come out with the right sort of outfit. However, avoid the "My Lookbook" section as it doesn't appear to be updated regularly. You can also use this on desktop.
