Bubble Bobs Are Still As Chic As Ever—Here's What Makes Them Different From Other Crops
It's true—the bob haircut is the hairstyle of 2025. In the past few years, we've seen celebs from Hailey Bieber to Zendaya go for the chop on their longer lengths in favour of chin-skimming bobs, blunt bobs, French bobs, Italian bobs—and the style is here to stay. On my recent visit to the hair salon, my hairstylist said that short hair was being requested left, right and centre from their clientele. So, it's safe to say that the bob is set to reign (once again) this year.
Of course, the bob is a classic hairstyle that stands the test of time. But, if there is one bob trend we're seeing rise this season, it's the bubble bob. This is one bob hairstyle micro trend that's been bubbling (sorry) up as we head into the spring months. But what exactly is a bubble bob?
Elsa Hosk's hair has that rounded shape and volume that is characteristic of the bubble bob haircut.
The bubble bob gets its name from its rounded proportions, which has plenty of volume at the roots, bounce through the middle and flicky layers that give an aerated, swishy and care-free swing. Just what we want as we look towards spring.
In fact, we've spotted a couple of celebs of late opt for this rounded bob hairstyle, and we can only expect it to gain more momentum as we head from winter into spring. So, if you're looking for some bubble bob haircut ideas, scroll on ahead for some inspo and the key hairstyling products to achieve the look. Off you pop!
