If there's one thing TikTok is known for, it's taking a classic beauty look, product, or technique, and rebranding it into something fresh and appealing for a modern (i.e. Gen Z) audience. For proof, just look at some of the most recent TikTok-viral trends. There's "Cloud Skin," which is basically a new take on the matte foundations of yesteryear. There's frosted eye shadow, which draws heavily on late '90s and early 2000s references. Finally, we can't forget about the recent internet obsession with the supermodel blowout and the old-school hot rollers that people are using it get it. We could go on, but you get the point.

TikTok's latest rebrand is focused on nail color—a classic purplish-red nail color to be exact. Whatever you call it, whether mahogany, merlot, or something else entirely, it's been given a new name and a new life. Let us introduce you to "cherry mocha" nails. It might seem like just another food-focused trend, but this time, it's the name of the actual product that started it all.

The Exact Nail Polish

Here it is—the nail polish that gave this TikTok trend its name and inspired it from the start. The shade is equal parts red and purple in a brown base. So, in other words, it's a classic fall manicure color. It's dark and rich, just as we'd expect a cherry mocha to taste.

Be aware that this is a gel nail polish, so it needs to be cured with a UV lamp and used alongside a gel top coat. Luckily, the latter is included as part of the set. If applied correctly, it promises chip-free, high-shine color for up to three weeks. When you're ready to remove it, simply soak your nails in nail polish remover for 10-15 minutes.
