I Refuse to Spend More Than $10 on Eye Shadow—This Is the Brand I Always Buy
If I had to choose one affordable makeup brand to rule them all, I'd pick ColourPop in a heartbeat. There, I said it. It's a brand I'll continually stan for its incredibly high-quality offerings at such a low price point. Sometimes, even I find it hard to believe some of the price tags. One item in particular that I'll never stop buying is the brand's eye shadows.
Even before my career took me down the path of becoming a beauty writer, I was constantly stuffing as many of the brand's shadows in my cart as I could on a weekly basis (I'm really not joking). I was in high school, just beginning to learn about makeup and how to create looks for my particular type of eye shape. The Super Shock Shadows always delivered exactly the level of pigmentation I was looking for on any given day. This love affair has continued long into my adult years as I still have a few older shades I pull out of the vault that the brand doesn't even make anymore. A few are even broken, but I still continue to use them (the dedication is real). In the above photo, I'm wearing one of my favorite hues (Drift) and it still gets the job done.
Even though I'll always swear by the brand's eye products, I've branched out over the years, too, and love many of its other offerings just as much. If you're budget-conscious but want quality makeup that always delivers, keep scrolling below for all the best ColourPop products to add to your cart today.
Best ColourPop Eye Shadows
Basically, this palette full of buttery matte shades is the palette of dreams for me. I like a mix of both matte and shimmer eye shadows and each of the hues in this mix complements each other so perfectly.
Pinks and purples are usually out of my comfort zone when it comes to eye shadow, but ColourPop got this one so right, I couldn't help but snatch it up. It's so versatile and looks good on every skin tone.
You can never own too many nude eye shadow palettes, period. Nude Mood is such a simple, nine-shade palette but offers the perfect shades for everyday glam or a dressed-down casual look.
This cool-toned palette contains every hue you'll ever need for a mysterious glam look.
These single eye shadows are so stunning and pigmented and I'm continually stunned by the unbelievable price tag. I think I own at least 10 of these (I'm not kidding), and I'm always looking for more to add to my collection. I'm wearing the shade Mooning in the above photo which is an oldie, but a goody.
Best ColourPop Lip Products
Sonic Blooms is ColourPop's first-ever hybrid formula that combines the long-lasting ability of a lip stain with a high shine gloss. It's non-drying and contains guava extract and lychee extract to keep the lips extra fresh and hydrated.
This lipstick dries extremely matte but isn't overly dry which is somewhat of a miracle. It contains shea butter and vitamin E, two skin-loving ingredients rich in hydration to solve that problem in a jiff.
This is not your average lip oil. It's super nourishing with chamomile and calendula oil for ultra-soft lips and provides just a touch of sheer color. It's perfect for everyday wear.
I've only recently become a fan of plumping lip glosses. Let's just say a Sephora makeup artist got me hooked. ColourPop's provides a bit of shine but isn't too over the top and gives your lips a real juicy (yet subtle) look.
Best ColourPop Blushes
Opt for the Pressed Powder Blush for all-day wear. The formula contains silky powders that adhere to your skin longer than average so your pop of color will remain intact long after 5 p.m.
The warm, toasty shades in this face palette work so well together. It features a bronzer, highlighter, and blush all in one—perfect to take on the go.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't live for a good blush stick. Cream blushes just speak to my soul because they look so summery and dewy on the skin. This ColourPop blush stick is hydrating and looks so natural people won't even know you're wearing it.
ColourPop's Super Shock Shadows are the best of the best, and I have to say its blush of the same name is right up there with them. The formula blends so smoothly into your skin but provides a ton of pigment payoff so a little goes a long way.
Best ColourPop Base Products
If you're someone who wants something simple with just a hair of coverage, ColourPop's tinted moisturizer with hyaluronic acid is your ticket.
ColourPop's foundation is pretty skin-like—something I appreciate on days I only want a bit of light coverage. The formula is also buildable and works great with a beauty blender. I also love how hydrating it is—it's perfect for those colder months or days it's a little breezy out.
I'm not usually one to wear concealer every single day, but I also can never resist a good drugstore-priced formula. This one is lightweight, provides full coverage, and contains hydrating hyaluronic acid as a bonus.
If you err on the side of oily, this pressed powder is your soft and creamy solution. I love a powder that doesn't feel chalky or dry and this one from ColourPop is exactly that.
