Well, I've written enough stories on the topic of wardrobe basics that I think I should be considered a connoisseur at this point. Let's just say I know a thing or two about the hardest-working items in our closets and how to invest in them. Since basics play a crucial role in how you get dressed, I think everyone could afford to pay a little more attention to this often-overlooked area of our wardrobes. They may not be as exciting to shop for as trendier pieces, but they can make or break a good offering and help you avoid the issue of asking yourself why you have nothing to wear.

Shopping for really good basics can be tedious, though, if you don't know where to begin. That is why I went ahead and made a list of the ones I'm currently eyeing that are checking all the boxes: They're comfortable, versatile, and, most importantly, timeless. Thanks to Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale being so vast, I narrowed in on 25 pieces that are not only poised to become part of your forever wardrobe but are also delightfully more affordable than they usually are. Take a look at my edit below to find your next style staple (or multiple).

Up next, here is everything you won't regret buying fromReplica Store's big half-yearly sale.
