I Spot Trends Like It’s My Job (It Is)—This New Jeans Style Is So 2024

This year, we've seen so many jeans styles emerge as new fashion favourites. Ultra-low-rise pairs regained popularity in ways no millennial could have possibly imagined, baggy jeans became the new favourite that fashion people are styling for almost any occasion and even bootcut jeans had a moment in the spotlight. Though there are so many denim styles to choose from, I'm most excited by the new, very wearable trend that influencers have been showcasing in droves lately. And unlike some of the aforementioned trends, it doesn't necessarily hail from the '90s.
Cuffed jeans are the new-season denim trend that's already gaining traction in terms of Google searches as we head towards the end of the year; so much so, that I think it has serious potential for 2024.
Cuffed jeans have been cropping up all around us in a range of washes. The jeans—which I've seen in both ankle-grazing and floor-skimming lengths—style equally well with a pair of chunky boots in the winter as they do with sleek retro trainers in the spring. As it happens, they also look endlessly chic with mary janes, ballet flats and kitten heels for a more polished finish.
Though I don't need convincing to buy in, the best thing about the cuffed-jeans trend is that it doesn't have to cost a penny. Whilst many of our go-to denim brands have worked hard to construct pre-cuffed jeans that fall to the perfect length, if you'd rather save your cash, simply turn up the hems on any pair of jeans you already own to your desired length and you're ready to go. You can even add a simple stitch on either side to keep the turn-ups in place.
If you'd rather buy a fresh pair though, read on to discover our edit of the best cuffed jeans available to shop now.
