The Top 3 Jewelry Trends of 2024, According to a Celebrity Stylist
When it comes to personal style, there's nothing quite as special as jewelry. Whether it's a special occasion statement piece? or dainty detail that is worn daily, there are so many different ways to incorporate jewelry into any outfit. But, the key is knowing when less is more and when bigger is actually better—it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.
So, we reached out to celebrity stylist and Méga brand designer, Dani Michelle, to get her point of view on not only how to wear different types of jewelry, but also the top trends to be aware of for next year.
Keep reading for Michelle's smart tips for stacking rings and choosing statement pieces. Her styling talents are favored by Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, so when it comes to accessorizing, this is certainly advice that's worth taking.
Statement Earrings
Michelle loves a statement earring. "I's the final piece that completes the look and polishes the moment," she explains. "A strong earring personalizes your look, and adds so much confidence. I think you can style them in gold or silver, depending on the color of your look."
These earrings are lightweight enough to wear every day, but special enough to stand out.
If you have just a single piercing, make it count with something sculptural.
If sleek and simple is your thing, invest in quality pieces that will last a lifetime.
Layering Rings
If you hear "stacks on stacks" and immediately think of bracelets or rings, then you're speaking Michelle's language. "I love layering rings," she shares. "Stacking a few rings together elevates the hand and adds so much weight to the look. It really is this over-the-top cool-girl moment, and I think it is a more is more vibe." We completely agree.
In a stack, every very item has its purpose, and even the simplest designs stand out.
Why choose between stones and style when you can have both on a single bauble?
Don't be shy about mixing metals in your stack—Michelle encourages it.
Look for rings that complement each other, whether that's in stone, shape, or fit. This wave band works well with many engagement rings.
Vintage Inspired
When shopping for statement jewelry, Michelle recommends picking pieces that are substantial and have a retro vibe. "I love jewelry that is chunky and vintage inspired. There is something so timeless about the look, and the sophistication of something vintage is so chic."
For trendier pieces, test drive the look first with more affordable, lightweight pieces.
Fall in love with Méga's chic designs, then be amazed with the quality of the product.
When shopping for jewelry, be open to whatever speaks to you. Engravings, monograms, and pendants always add a personal touch.
It takes a while to curate a personal jewelry wardrobe, so start with something simple and build from there.
