L.A. and NYC Fashion Girls Are Ditching These Pieces in 2018
One of the great things about a brand-new year is that it provides an opportunity for a fresh start. And yes, that includes your sartorial choices. While in one year you might be more inclined to test out all of the trends, in another year you might want to step back to reevaluate your style.
This also applies to fashion editors, who are very often trying out trends they’re seeing in the market. Interested to find out which piecesBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing ’s very own editors are ditching and the ones they’re excited to try when 2018 rolls around? Good news: They’re sharing them ahead. While pieces like off-the-shoulder tops and fishnet tights are being pushed to the back of the closet, they’re welcoming new trends like tops with asymmetrical cutouts and the lavender pieces that took the S/S 18 runways by storm.
Go on to see which items they’ll be giving up in the New Year and the trends they can’t wait to try.
EAST COAST
"While I do find off-the-shoulder styles appealing from time to time, I'm totally fine with giving them up for a bit in the New Year. They had a big moment, but I'm ready for a break. With that said, I'm still all about a pretty, vintage-inspired blouse, especially one with an interesting, oversize sleeve. I think it's just as charming as off-the-shoulder and—bonus—there's no strapless bra required."
"I am so over off-the-shoulder tops. I think I went a little too hard on the trend two years ago and am now burnt out. But 2018 trends are looking amazing, and I can't wait for spring to roll around so I can start wearing pastel colors. I'm most excited for lavender, but this light-blue frilly minidress from Ganni also has me wide-eyed."
"After moving to New York, I have a newfound appreciation for not just sneakers but stylish ones. On that note, in 2018, I'll be ditching my old worn-out pair in favor of something new and on-trend. At the moment, Balenciaga's sock style is the top contender."
WEST COAST
"I'm ready to retire off-the-shoulder tops. Right now, I'm in a minimalist mode and building out a closet of cool classic staples like this skirt."Next, read about the new labels you'll be seeing all over Instagram.
