I'm a Working (From Home) Mom, and These 5 Outfits Got Me Through the Week

Welcome to Weekday Wardrobe, a series in which oneBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editor or staffer will snap a pic of the outfits they wear from Monday to Friday. We'll break down where you can shop it all to inspire your own everyday style, no matter what's on your weekly agenda.
I’m not going to lie: I get a little jealous of all my friends who are choosing to use this lockdown as the time to start working out every day and perfecting their skincare routine, both in the a.m. and p.m., but honestly, if I get one more text about Tiger King, I might actually lose it. I’m a working mom, so that means in addition to keeping to my regular working schedule, I also have a 1-year-old, who just learned how to scream "mama” and "no” crawling around the house.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m loving being around my daughter, Sophie, all day every day, but once the babysitting shifts are over, mom mode is in full effect and my work isn’t really over until 8 p.m. when she sleeps. I've found the best way for me to feel awake and ready to take on the day and be productive both while I’m working and when I’m running around the house after her is to get dressed every day as if I were still going into the office. If you’re also ready to shake out of your sweats (working mom or not), here are my five WFH outfits to inspire you.
MONDAY
I like to start my week in something other than a sweatshirt, but because it was a Monday, I cut myself a break and left on my leggings. A button-down white shirt is a mainstay in my wardrobe, and this oversize one is perfect for still feeling comfortable while also looking put-together for our team meetings. Oh and I swapped out my slippers for ballet flats.
TUESDAY
For all my friends reading this, yes, that is me in a pair of sneakers. Because I give myself a heavier workload on Mondays to get ahead for the week, I’m able to take short breaks on Tuesdays to play with Sophie. She loves to sit on our porch and watch the birds fly by, so my outfit needs to work for the great outdoors. With a T-shirt, wide-leg jeans, and a cozy cardi, I still feel like I’m dressed up for the occasion.
WEDNESDAY
On Wednesdays, we have a busier schedule. Sophie and I go on a long walk around our neighborhood after I’ve wrapped up my meetings. Not only does it calm her, but it gives me a moment to get in a workout and some vitamin D. I got these Alo leggings from Nordstrom last week, and they basically feel like walking around without pants, which I’m always here for.
THURSDAY
At this point, just thinking about putting on pants is a hard no for me, so I like to dress up my look with an oatmeal-colored turtleneck sweater and a pair of hoops. This sweater has pearl beading at the neck opening, which feels ultra-chic—a word I seldom use to describe my outfits now that I’m staying home. I’m also still a huge fan of Ugg boots, so I slip mine on before I get my day started.
FRIDAY
Cozy is in full effect at our house on Fridays, the day we allow ourselves to just chill and take a break from our new routine. Sophie is experiencing a sleep regression, so I haven’t really been sleeping either. These eye masks are a little luxury I like to add to my routine on Friday mornings with a strong cup of coffee to end the week off right.

It all began in 2014 when she landed an internship at the company and never looked back. While she does love writing her fair share of fashion stories, her heart really belongs in the brainstorm room, where she has fun strategizing different ways to create content with our fashion partners so that you engage with the brands you know and love. If she had to pick one person's wardrobe to raid, it would be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's, and she also has a major obsession with interior design. She's a mom to a girl named Sophie, and she fully plans on training her to spot fashion trends by the time she's 10.
