Known for being a fairly private celebrity, Emma Watson isn’t out and about every day. So when she does make a public appearance, it makes it all the more special. Over the weekend, Watson stepped out to attend the New York premiere of Little Women, appearing on the red carpet flanked by her equally stylish co-stars, including Laura Dearn and Saoirse Ronan
For the event, Watson chose a black floor-length gown from Balenciaga’s recent S/S 20 collection and paired the dress with thigh-high velvet boots. Though, if you’re thinking this was your average, run-of-the-mill dress-and-boots combo, you would be mistaken. Not one to follow the crowd, Watson made this dress entirely her own, opting to tuck its hem into the top of her boot on the left side.
Creating what would ordinarily be a revealing leg split, Watson was instead able to show off the length of her navy-coloured boots. It was a unique styling choice, to say the least, and one we think only Watson has the fashion prowess to pull off.
In terms of hair and makeup, the actress opted for a messy top-knot and bold lip. Emma then finished her look with a shell-shaped clutch, also by Balenciaga.
