Here's Wholesale Replica Bag Way Celebs Are Taking a Stand at the Oscars
No matter which way you choose to witness the goings-on of this weekend’s Oscars (if you choose to do so at all), it’s hard to overlook how impactful fashion has been in sending a bigger message than just garnering oohs and ahs. You can look as recently as the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs. At both events, actors wore black in support of the Time’s Up movement to address longstanding sexual harassment within (and outside of) the entertainment industry. Or you may remember the appearances of Planned Parenthood and ACLU pins worn by the likes of Emma Stone and Ruth Negga to award shows last year to support organizations that deserve as much attention as award-winning movies. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, on Sunday’s red carpet you can expect to see another symbol of activism and solidarity in the form of pins provided by Everytown for Gun Safety.
As reported by THR, sources say that the pins have been sent to some of the most major celebrity stylists ahead of the red carpet to offer to their clients. They’ve been created in respond to the widespread gun violence in the U.S., most specifically and recently the devastating attacks on a high school in Parkland, Florida. Of course, we’ll be on the lookout as we watch the red carpet unfold to see who may be wearing these pins, as well as any other small but impactful (after all, as of last year, the show had around 32 million viewers) ways for stars to use their platforms to address issues that affect those who may not be as fortunate to have one.
After all, it’s easy to want to watch Sunday’s red carpet simply for the shiny people, the pretty gowns, and the teary speeches—the fun and glamour is certainly not lost on us. But recognizing fashion, like film, as a vehicle to make a statement and take a stance, especially in the state of today’s world, we’ll also be watching for what Hollywood’s most outspoken members wear (as well as what they say and do) to stand behind issues that need attention and action long after any award show ends.
