These Shopbop, Revolve, and Zara Season-Transition Items Are Too Good to Miss

I think it's safe to say that we have entered the middle of summer. Memorial Day and the Fourth of July are far behind us, and if you're in New York City, you know that this is the mid-season peak when it's unbearably hot and sticky out, so you self-isolate with your air conditioner. This entire week has been a heat wave in the city, hitting temperatures in the high 80s and 90s. The unreal heat has been making me want to wear nothing but minidresses just because everything else is too warm. I hate when my outfit options are limited by weather, so this heat wave has launched me straight into fall mode.

While we have a little while longer to go before it's fully fall—where we can bust out the sweaters, boots, chunky knits, earth tones, and leather moments—I can still keep my eye out for summer-to-fall pieces, right? Transitioning from one season to another can be the most difficult time for outfit planning, as it seems like some days it's too hot for a knit and others are too cold to wear a minidress. I've been there, but as the years have gone by, I have gotten better when it comes to finding pieces that make the season change much easier.

While fantasizing about September in New York City, I went to some of my favorite retailers—Shopbop, Revolve, and Zara—to get fall fashion inspiration. Check out which chic items made the cut.
