And Now, Every Perfect Item on Our Fashion Editors' Autumn Wish Lists
Do we, theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors, share one mind? Before compiling this, the autumn wish list of all autumn wish lists (it never hurts to get ahead, right?), I would have said no. We each have distinctly different aesthetics and rarely double-up on purchases unless it’s something classic like a Loewe straw tote or something equally as versatile. But if you see the pieces each of our editors, myself included, have their eyes on for autumn, you would be forgiven for assuming we conferred about our choices before submitting them. This wasn’t the case. It does, however, reinforce the idea that autumn is going to be all about a particular kind of aesthetic.
Binding our edits together are pops of bold green, suede in all forms, knitwear with a contemporary touch, timeless handbags and elevated tailoring. Some brands recur, too, and scrolling through our wish lists will hopefully give you a clear idea of what’s going to be on-trend and in style this autumn. Scroll on to see seven fashion editors' autumn wish lists to inspire your own new-season shopping list.
1. Hannah Almassi, Editor in Chief
Shop Hannah's Wish List:
I love a knit dress and I don't think I'll ever own enough of them! I adore the soft green colour of this design combined with the button detailing (yes, you can wear the top part as a cropped jumper) and oversized sleeves to balance out the slim fit.
I've been searching for a pair of vintage-look snake-print boots for literally years, so I'm thrilled that this pair landed online. They also come in a wide-fitting calf which is great for those of us who struggle with standard-sized knee boots.
You could argue that Sienna Miller influenced me to buy this trench coat but in all honesty, even without the celebrity endorsement, you cannot deny this piece of outerwear is pure perfection!
The Andiamo is still the Bottega Veneta bag that I keep coming back to and I'm convinced that this isn't going to age badly in any sense of the concept. Olive green is a great alternative neutral that works year-round with so many different colours.
2. Maxine Eggenberger, Deputy Editor
Shop Maxine's Wish List:
I've been thinking about Reformation's suede dress and jacket co-ord for weeks. The dress is currently on waitlist, but I'm snapping up the jacket while I still can.
Belted bags are a big trend this season, but Toteme's bucket style has all the hallmarks of a classic investment. It comes in a slew of gorgeous colours but, let's face it, you can never go wrong with black.
ASOS is looking chicer than ever right now, and this knit is a prime example of that. I'm torn between this versatile oatmeal hue and the red.
I've always had a thing for nostalgic charm bracelets, and this style from Missoma's collaboration with designer Harris Reed is nothing short of perfect.
3. Brittany Davy, Editorial Assistant
Shop Brittany's Wish List:
I’ve been looking everywhere for the perfect suede tote and Métier's 'Private Eye' bag did not disappoint. Not only does it give the “quiet luxury” vibes I’m always looking to emulate come autumn time, but it’s roomy enough to fit everything I need. Whether going to the office or out with friends, I’ll get so much use out of this tote.
There’s something about snakeskin accessories that just look so stylish and these ballet flats from H&M are no exception. I’ll throw this affordable pair on with everything, from my knit dresses to my button-up shirt and jeans combos.
Chocolate brown leather will be everywhere this autumn, and Mango has already hopped on the trend with everything from belts and handbags to boots and jackets. I especially love the straight-leg trousers in this shade, and I’ll be wearing them as a softer alternative to black in the upcoming season.
I’m always on the hunt for chic accessories to add interest to my outfits, so this belt from Khaite immediately caught my eye. Crafted in Italy and made from luxurious calfskin, this silver studded number will elevate even the simplest of outfits this autumn
4. Natalie Munro, News Writer
Shop Natalie's Wish List:
Once autumn begins you'd be hard-pressed to find me in anything other than loafers, and this glossy style from Acne Studios is set to become my newest addition.
I’ve been thinking about splashing out on a brown leather jacket for several months now and this chic style from Mango has landed just in time.
In the mood for sweater weather, I have my eyes set on this ultra-fluffy cashmere knit from luxury knitwear specialists Almada Label.
Perfect for layering over a crew-neck jumper, this pretty gold necklace adds charm to an autumn outfit in the most effortless way.
5. Humaa Hussain, Junior Branded Content Editor
Shop Humaa's Wish List:
I’m slowly adding some colour into my neutral wardrobe and what better way than a pair of burgundy leather boots from Toteme.
I have a few The row jumpers and now I fear I may have created a The Row monster because this cashmere style in the most autumnal camel colour is calling my name.
I’ll be paring these jeans with some ribbed socks and classic loafers for a very preppy inspired look this season.
A sleek design, meticulous stitching, classic style—this bag is coming home with me.
6. Florrie Alexander, Acting Affiliate Editor
Shop Florrie's Wish List:
When looking for a new bag to join my collection it was easy to fall for Loewe's pebble bag. The bucket silhouette is ideal for throwing in all my daily essentials, and this burgundy shade feels particularly fitting for the autumn months.
Suede brown jackets are everywhere right now, and I'm especially fond of H&M's trench coat take on the style. This is sure to instantly elevate my jeans and Tee looks for the forseeable.
Elegant, refined, and cosy. It's a hard combination to find, but Other Stories has got it oh-so right.
A pair of ballet flats has been high up on my wish list for a few months now, and Alohas has me finally ready to commit. The elegant square-toe and sweet bow details bring a timeless feel to this pair that will seamlessly blend with my tailoring, denim, dresses and more.
7. Poppy Nash, Managing Editor
Shop Poppy's Wish List:
I love dresses all year round, and every autumn I look to invest in a versatile style that will see me through the cold weather and all the way to next spring. This DÔEN number fits the bill and will look so chic with brown suede boots and a trench coat, but also works with sandals and a basket bag.
I missed out on COS's chunky cashmere last year and I refuse to make the same mistake again! This new khaki colourway is calling my name, but I also love the grey and, of course, the black.
I purchased a pair of Zara ballet flats last year in black velvet and probably wore them three times a week. This year, I'm going to pick up this suede pair, which I'll wear with jeans and trousers but also dresses and skirts.
Is it bad that I'm already thinking about my Christmas wish list? Ideally I'd be able to add this amazing cuff to my collection before then, but if not, I'm really hoping this is waiting for me under the tree this year! It's an investment, yes, but I just know it's a forever piece that I'll reach for time and time again, before handing it down to my children, too.
