Welcome to a Fashion Editor's Camera Roll: Everything I've Saved and Want to Buy
No matter how much storage I get on my iPhone, it always feels like I'm running out of space. As an editor and general fashion fanatic, I'm constantly screenshotting, saving, and taking photos of whatever inspires me. Add New York Fashion Week, new seasonal arrivals, and a booming editor Slack channel into the mix—my camera roll is filled to the brim. I don't trust myself to shop without any plans (impulsive decisions will be made), so I like to sift through my recent saves and decide what I want to buy. But today, I won't be keeping those finds to myself.
From the '00s layering trend our editor in chief shared with us via Slack to the latest J.Crew arrivals debuted on Olympia Gayot's Instagram, there's a whole lot to love in this mix. Keep scrolling to get inspired or join in on the shopping.
It's hard to find other words than "phenomenal" when describing Tory Burch's latest few collections. I could keep on going, but I'll keep it short and lead with the easy accessory trend I expect to make a comeback—fishnet tights. Burch styled them with kitten heels, flats, and boots, so I'll be doing the same in 2023.
Retailer imagery isn't always convincing, so Gayot is always making an extremely strong case for J.Crew's latest arrivals on Instagram. As of now, this gold cuff and cropped cashmere sweater are high on my wish list.
Ever wonder whatBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's editorial director keeps in her Prada bag? Multiple pairs of red Amazon socks. Fellow editor Anna LaPlaca needed a sock change after the Sandy Liang show, and our sartorial leader came prepared. After seeing how much the socks elevated Anna's outfit, I'll be Prime-ing them immediately.
When I first saw this layered look on Zara, I knew it look familiar but couldn't figure out why. Of course, our editor in chief reminded me that it was the look in the early 2000s. While I may not be emulating the nostalgic look exactly how it used to be, I do plan on giving Zara's version of the trend a try.
Hitting the jackpot is finding a look on Instagram that involves pieces that are simple and easy to find, like this bright T-shirt.
When I spotted this model off duty after the Sandy Liang show, I had to capture the moment. I plan on heading to my local craft store for some ribbons to accessorize. I'm also adding some of current Sandy Liang's pieces to my cart.
It's easy for an all-black look to be boring, but this one from Victoria Beckham's S/S 23 runway is anything but. Our editor Eliza Huber donned very similar Zara pants, and I think she's fully got me on board with the look.
I didn't think Bottega could release yet another bag I wanted, but here we are.
While waiting for friends to arrive at a restaurant, I popped into Awoke Vintage to peruse. I finally saw the well-loved Jeffrey Campbell cowboy boots in person. I thought they were a little too much for my taste, but after seeing them in real life, I think they'll add the perfect touch of fun to any outfit.
Can you tell I'm always taking inspiration from my co-workers? On a freezing day in NYC, our editorial director, Lauren Eggertsen, was cozy in the Toteme coat the internet can't get enough of.
While many brands stick to self-shot promotional imagery and ads on their pages, The Frankie Shop is always sharing how the fashion set sports its latest assortment. I have many of the brand's pieces saved to my camera roll, yet this elevated take on the classic suit vest has been on my mind for months now.
Red tights are on everyone's mind, including our editor in chief's.
I will not be getting rid of any of my oversize blazers, but I do want to add a tailored option to my arsenal. I tend to stray away from items that are formfitting, but I like how this style still offers the elements of a loose blazer with a slight cinch at the waist.
Why wear one belt when you can do two? (or three, according to H&M).
