SARABANDE’S HOUSE OF BANDITS AT SELFRIDGES

Sarabande’s concept store House of Bandits is collaborating with Selfridges on a pop-up space within the department store from Monday 20 January. A charitable foundation that was set up by the late designer Alexander Lee McQueen, it has helped support 280 artists from 38 countries since its conception in 2007. This pop-up space in Selfridges will consist of a huge concept store, selling artworks, fashion, jewellery, interior accessories, photography, sculpture and more, as well as hosting a gallery with an array of mixed media pieces and special limited edition products. Adding to this, the space will not only be used for retail but also for a series of special events, including artist workshops, talks and creative VIP experiences. Artists will be working live from the dedicated space during store opening times, connecting Selfridges to the Sarabande studio spaces in North and East London.

LOEWE PRESENTS CRAFTED WORLD IN TOKYO

Spanish designer brand Loewe is showcasing its 179-years of design, Spanish heritage and most notable pieces in its first ever exhibition in Tokyo this spring. A travelling exhibit that first opened in Shanghai, its Tokyo launch will land in March 2025, in the Harajuku district. Loewe’s first store opening outside of Europe was in 1973 in Tokyo, thus proving its deep connection with the country. Presented in collaboration with OMA, the exhibition will showcase the brand’s most notable collaborations and designs, detailing its journey from a leather-making collective in 1846 in Madrid, to a world-renowned fashion house today.

MARTIN MARGIELA ARCHIVE AUCTION IN PARIS

Another auction to add to your diary! The largest ever sale of archival Martin Margiela pieces will go on auction in Paris on 27 January. Consisting only of pieces from 1988 to 1994, all pieces in the 240-lot collection belong to sisters Angela and Elena Picozzi, who gathered them over the decades inspired by their mother Graziella Picozzi, a key figure in the Italian fashion industry. Alongside some truly unique and iconic pieces by the designer, there will also be sketches by him for sale. The auction and related exhibition will be held in a disused building in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. To kick off the next Haute Couture Fashion week the exhibition starts on the 25 January and the auction will take place two days later in the same location.

OMOROVICZA LAUNCHES AT FOUR SEASONS SPA

Beauty editor favourite, Omorovicza, and Four Seasons are delighted to announce a new spa partnership for this February. To celebrate the launch of the Omorovicza Blue Diamond Super Serum, Four Seasons hotels will introduce an exclusive new facial treatment developed to highlight the new supercharged serum. Targeting tired, UV-damaged skin, this new facial will be available from February 4th at The Four Seasons London Park Lane location, as well as other Four Seasons Spas across the world.

LOUIS VUITTON X MURAKAMI POPS UP IN LONDON

In case you missed it on the socials of everyone cool you follow in London—the city has welcomed an all-new Louis Vuitton x Murakami pop-up store in Soho, to celebrate the re-edition of the collaborative collection. The pop-up takes place two decades after the first collaboration between the French house and notable Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami. To celebrate, alongside the pop-up will be a cafe serving baked goods and drinks in specially printed cups and napkins with exclusive Louis Vuitton x Murakami designs, as well as a series of new and archival pieces, a vending machine with collectable gifts and a ‘repair station.’ The space is open now until 9 February.

CHOPOVA LOWENA LAUNCHES FRAGRANCE

Cool-girl It-brand Chopova Lowena has put down its kilts and carabiners and delved into the world of beauty. Launching not one, but three fragrances—Queen Rosa, Hay Zhasminal and Great Root, Green Ruth—all inspired by their Bulgarian heritage by using herbs and flowers from the region to create the scents. Queen Rosa has a floral yet musky scent, with notes of bergamot and pink pepper. Hay Zhasminal consists of amber, jasmine, fennel, and ylang-ylang, with woody top notes. Finally, Great Root, Green Ruth offers something fresh—with vetiver and Bulgarian geranium. The bottles’ design feels overtly Chopova Lowena, coming in punky figurines in bold pink, green and blue, almost looking like an avatar or when together, like The Powerpuff Girls. The scents will also be available in candle form and available exclusively from Dover Street Market.

RALPH RUSSO HAUTE COUTURE ARCHIVE TO GO ON SALE

A number of archival haute couture pieces from Ralph Russo will go on sale via auction next week. Marking the first fashion auction of this scale for Bonhams in 2025, the sale will be online between 16-29th January, and is a 150-lot featuring dresses worn by A-listers on the red carpet. Most notably, Angelina Jolie’s custom-made gown worn for the premier of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in London in 2019 will go on sale, as well as other pieces from the runway and some worn by the likes of Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sydney Sweeney and Penelope Cruz.
