I Don't Shop on Amazon Often, But I Do Stock Up on Classic Staples During the Prime Day Sale

The much-awaited Amazon Prime Day sale has arrived. The two-day event is taking place July 16 and 17 and includes markdowns on items across the retailer. While I don’t normally purchase many fashion or clothing items from Amazon, the sale is a great time to add some pieces to my cart. My approach? Stocking up on classic staples that I would be purchasing whether it was a sale or not. I’ve purchased too many sale finds that I ended up regretting later, so this cuts the post-sale remorse out of the equation.

I combed through Amazon to find the exact pieces that make the cut. Some are pieces I already own but have been thinking about buying in a new colorway—as is the case with the Polo Ralph Lauren button-down I already have in white but I’m eyeing in blue. Others I wear so much that they are now very worn—such as the Nike sports bra and leggings that need to be replaced with fresh versions. Ahead, shop my picks for the best classic staples to buy from the Amazon Prime Day sale.
