H&M's New Spring Drop Has Me Gasping—9 Items I Can't Believe Aren't Expensive
AsBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK's senior shopping editor, it's literally my job to keep on top of the new season buys to make sure I'm reporting back to you on the best shopping out there. So it's not unusual for me to start my day with a cuppa and a quick scroll through the new-in sections. This morning it was H&M's site that I landed on first, and when I tell you I audibly gasped at the fresh new spring drop that had landed overnight, I'm not exaggerating.
Crisp, clean, expensive-looking classics—these new H&M arrivals for spring 2025 are the kind of pieces I crave at this time of year. As February comes to a close and we start to experience the first splashes of warmer sunshine, I'm looking for items that breathe life into my tired winter rotation—and this new edit has hit the nail on the head. You'll find lighter fabrics like linen, fresh denim, silky separates, spring knits and crisp stripes. And the colour palette of creams, browns and blues feels so completely 'now'.
There were a number of items so good I actually added them to my own basket to try at home, and I'm incredibly picky when it comes to shopping the high street. I'm only interested in buys that could pass for designer—whether that means picking more season-less styles, keeping an eye out for more premium fabrics like linen, Lyocell, cotton and wool, or elevated design details like the nipped in waist of this elegant cardigan. While I have huge concerns over H&M's fast fashion model and the quality of some of the cheaper clothes, I do believe when they focus their attention on classics like those in this new edit, they can come up with some gems that work really hard in your wardrobe. I mean, I still have H&M buys (like my favourite pair of wide-leg linen trousers) in my closet from years ago that I still wear on repeat.
Scroll on to see the nine buys I couldn't resist ordering to try for myself at home, as well as more of the best H&M new arrivals for spring 2025.

Waisted cardigans are a really elegant new trend that has appeared this season, and H&M's take here is pretty much perfection (and has the Who What Wear editor seal of approval already). Rich chocolate brown, a cinched in waist and sculptural arms, it's a simple yet surefire way to get a ton of compliments.
It may still feel a little chilly for a silky set, but this set is sure to be a quick sellout for those who like to plan for the season ahead. I love it paired with the matching trousers for an instantly chic look that will carry you through so many holidays, not to mention summer in the office. But this shirt will also look great with jeans now.
The matching trousers look so comfy and polished, too. I'd also wear these with a simple vest top and a denim jacket.
I always recommend H&M when my friends ask where to buy an affordable trench coat, and this is the exact style I'll be sending them for spring 2025.
I can't decide if I love the cream or black version of this expensive-looking waistcoat the best.
So many of my fellow editors have been raving about these designer-looking jeans, now they've had a restock I can't resist trying for myself.
These really do look like they could be found on Net-A-Porter. I'm yet to test out the quality but I love the braided look.
It's hard to see but these linen trousers are a really dark shade of brown, which in itself feels like a very elevated move from H&M (and also makes them more spring/summer ready). I really rate H&M's wide-leg trousers, and their linen pieces so I'm excited to try these.
I've been seeing lots of cool double denim outfits recently so I'll e using this to emulate them. Paired with this dream belt, I think it would look really expensive.
The collarless neckline, slouchy (and breathable) Lyocell fabric and pared back finishes on this blazer make it feel really, really modern. It would look great with a belt around it too.

I'd be interested to feel the quality of this IRL, but it definitely give the expensive look.
H&M tailoring does always look so much more expensive than its price tag. I love this for warmer days to come.
The set also comes in this elegant cream which will absolutely make you look like you're rich enough to own a house in the South of France.
It's spring jacket season, and this easy throw-on style comes in a few colours.
I personally love that these are slightly cropped as they'll work better with loafers, trainers and sandals.
Skirts are really having a moment for spring 2025, and this would be an easy-to-style way to dip your toe into the trend.
You can't deny the power of a trench to make an outfit look chic. I love the oversized collar and cuffs on this cropped version.
