A quintessentially L.A. stereotype when it comes to style is wearing sweatpants or yoga pants with Uggs. It’s been that way since the early 2000s, when iconic paparazzi photos of Paris Hilton and the Olsen twins in sweatpants and Uggs became a go-to.

Honestly, I was totally anti both as an adult—they reminded me too much of middle school—until this month, when I finally caved and picked up a pair of each to have on hand for winter errands and lounging at home. Every year around this time, I catch myself daydreaming about escaping the winter in New York and moving to L.A.: walking a dog I don’t have yet in yoga pants and Uggs, sunglasses on, enjoying the mild weather and sunshine.

Recently, Addison Rae and Lily-Rose Depp both wore this pant-and-shoe combination that’s making a comeback. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales still lingering, it’s the perfect time to shop the look.
