Starting off strong with our more controversial denim styles, we have the barrel-leg and flare jean. I was on board with the barrel-leg trend from day one—I find the silhouette to be universally flattering, but it took more time for other people to warm up to the idea. This 2010s closet staple was quickly replaced with relaxed, 90s-inspired styles, but I'm here to make the case that there is always a use for a slimmer-leg pant.
