Being from a city, I didn't grow up near a Walmart like a lot of people in the suburbs did, so my first experience going to one wasn't until middle school. More recently, one of my friends who lives upstate in New York has made a monthly tradition out of stopping at her local Walmart to pick up a $5 DVD and a frozen pizza, since it's one of the closest stores to her. Last time I visited, I went with her, excited to re-experience the childlike wonder.
