Celebrities, Influencers and Editors All Own This One Cosy Autumn Jacket
I may be a fashion editor, but I’m more than willing to admit I spend more than 50% of my time these days wearing leggings. I’d like to say it's a hangover from the pandemic and the introduction of more working from home, but, honestly, I’ve long been a fan. Which means I’m always on the lookout for ways to make leggings look particularly cool, fresh or, at the very least, acceptable to wear out of the house.
One item in particular I’ve been wearing (yes, on repeat) with my trusty lululemons recently is the Free People FP Movement Hit the Slopes fleece. Honestly, I’m not really sure what I wore before I discovered the cosy jumper at the end of last year. And with autumn suddenly appearing this week, this easy but acceptable-for-errands outfit has already become my morning go to.
This is my most worn weekend (and working from home) outfit.
Influencers love the fleece jacket too.
When I mentioned this fleece to my fellowBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors recently, so many of them admitted how much they love the fleece too—but it's not just us fashion editors turning to the cosy wardrobe piece. I recently discovered that supermodel Kaia Gerber is also a Free People fleece fan. In fact, when she's not on the red carpet, she basically lives in the exact same outfit as me (let’s not talk about who wore it better, shall we?) Not only did Kaia forgo her usual top-to-toe Celine wardrobe for the FP Movement Hit the Slopes Fleece Jacket version once, or even twice—she’s been spotted in this winning fleece and leggings combo on so many occasions now, it's hard to count. She loves the jacket so much, she even has it in multiple colours. Whether she's running to the supermarket, on her way to the gym or grabbing a smoothie, clearly this is Kaia's favourite wardrobe piece to turn to on busy autumn mornings as well.
Kaia looks cute in the purple.
Most recently the supermodel stepped out in this ochre yellow version.
Kaia has switched between wearing her fleece and leggings with Nike Training Free Metcon 4 Trainers, classic Birkenstocks and, of course, her trusty UGG boots. Often adding an elevated accessory like a chic pair of sunglasses or leather shoulder bag to elevate the look. Whichever way you swing it, Kaia is proving this cosy fleece is an excellent investment when you consider the cost per wear.
Keep scrolling to shop the cult fleece in both the jacket and pullover versions in Kaia's (and my) favourite colours, as well as some hero pieces to wear with it. Then, thank me later.
Navy is so classic.
