Gigi Hadid Casually Wore a Giant Mermaid Chanel Bag With Jeans

In life, there are Chanel bags, and then there are giant Chanel bags. This week, Gigi Hadid chose the latter. In fact, the Chanel bag she chose to wear with jeans, a bodysuit, and nude pumps (letting the bag take center stage, it seems) is so large that I spent more time than I care to admit staring at it (and contemplating the cost of it).

The swirly blue bag is covered with iridescent sequins that give it a mermaid-esque quality, and it somehow looks soft and pillowy enough to sleep on (not that you should). Given that Hadid often carries micro bags, I also contemplated what types of gadgets and gizmos she was keeping in there for a Tuesday in July in NYC. But back to the cost. There's a smaller version of the "mermaid" bag listed on Chanel's site, coming in at an eye-opening $3.6K, so feel free to take a guess on the price of the supersized one. But I'd gladly settle for the smaller bag… or the backpack or the fanny pack. See them all (and Hadid's look, naturally) below.
