We’ve got decidedly different weather to contend with, and we definitely can’t profess to know as much about wine vin and cheese fromage as they do, but we California girls feel a strange kinship to our French friends, at least on the fashion front. Parisians prize that same cool, laid-back aesthetic we L.A. girls can’t get enough of, and for that very reason, we log serious hours scrolling through the Instagram feeds of style setters based in the City of Light.

Ditto for a pair of perfect straight-leg jeans and a silky black bodysuit… Together, these pieces make for an outfit that’s polished enough for the office but not too stuffy when you and your co-workers decide to call it a day and reconvene at the wine bar across the street from the office.

Fall date-night ideas I’ve come up with for this very chic L’AGENCE slip dress I can’t stop thinking about: a good French double-feature at my favorite local repertory theater (Alain Delon fan club member checking in); a table for two at a dimly lit café somewhere in Silverlake where I can’t correctly pronounce a thing on the menu; or perhaps a friend’s gallery opening somewhere downtown.
