The Hiking Boots That Are Harder to Buy Than a Birkin Bag This Winter

Hiking boots have become the most in-demand shoe of the season, and there is one pair that is the most sought-after: the Grenson Nanettes. These are a twist on a classic après-ski boot with chunky soles, hiking laces and round toes. They have been worn by our favourite Instagrammers including Erica Davies and Brittany Bathgate, however, it's now near impossible to get hold of a pair, as they have sold out in all sizes.

It was a struggle to buy them before they were worn by Holly Willoughby on I'm a Celebrity, but now they have a Birkin bag level waiting list. Holly has worn them eight times in the jungle (at last count), causing the demand for these hikers to surge. Tim Little, the creative director of Grenson, revealed to The Telegraph that the brand sold 400 pairs within an hour of her wearing them on TV. "We launched the Nanette style two years ago when we felt there was a trend about traditional hiking boots that could be about to happen," he told the newspaper. "This autumn, [they] really took off.

By the time Holly wore them on I'm A Celebrity, we were down to our last few hundred pairs, and we could have sold many times more if we'd had the stock." Keep scrolling to see the Grenson boots, and shop the few styles that are still in stock.
