No, it's not 2002, but the sudden explosion of cargo pants might make you think otherwise. Recently, Hailey Bieber stepped out in L.A. (with an iced latte in hand) wearing what I'd consider the consummate casual outfit. In true form, her entire look borrowed from some of this year's biggest trends—cargo pants included. Paired with a striped V-neck sweater and Nike Dunk sneakers, the whole getup felt like a lesson in how to master effortless cool.
And then there are the accessories: Sleek oval sunglasses—another ode to the early aughts—and chunky gold hoops add a polished edge to an otherwise relaxed outfit. It's easy and trend-forward without veering too far into fashion-victim territory, and if you couldn't tell already, I'm an ASOS order away from replicating it myself.
