Every year, New Yorkers patiently wait for the summer to arrive for a plethora of reasons. Outside dining reopens, summer Fridays are back in session, days in the park become a part of everyone's weekly routine, and most exciting of all, the Hamptons season arrives.

All fall, winter, and spring long, New Yorkers wait patiently to escape far to the east to the land of hydrangeas, lobster rolls, and white linen pants to drink too much rosé and relax on the beach with friends. Luckily for me, this summer will be my second summer spending most of my weekends out East.

This time around, I know my way around the Hamptons—including the best places to eat, shop, and, of course, the best places to stay. I had heard so many rave reviews about this chic small hotel in Amagansett called The Roundtree that when it was time for me to book my escape from the city, I knew I had to stay there. Visiting this property is like arriving at your chicest friend's house. Every morning brings a fresh breakfast waiting for you on the lushest lawn you’ve ever seen. Not to mention bike access and spacious rooms.

Plus, The Roundtree Amagansett is perfectly located between East Hampton and Montauk, so I was able to check out the chic new Staud East Hampton store one day and head to Surf Lodge with my friends the next.

Not only have I scouted out the best hotels, restaurants, and bars in the Hamptons, but I've also mastered packing for a weekend out East: From the perfect baby tee and shorts to wear on a beach walk or morning coffee run to summer dresses to wear to dinner to the carry-on that has changed my travel game completely.

Keep scrolling to take a look at all the chic pieces I bring with me when I head to the Hamptons.
