All the High-Street Buys We Saw (and Wore) at London Fashion Week
Fashion week might not be known for its championing of high-street brands (quite the opposite, in fact), however, that doesn't mean that the style crowd doesn't like to dabble in those stores that the rest of us can actually afford. Just look at the Who What Wear editors—all of whom wore at least one high-street item every day of fashion week. From Emma's Arket blazer to Zoe's Topshop dress, we are not immune to the draw of a purse-friendly purchase.
Thankfully, there are plenty of other individuals that agree, and we've hunted down the best of the best. So what is the fashion crowd shopping from the high street this season? We're seeing plenty of chunky flat boots on the streets of London, and Zara is particularly acing it in that category with their track-sole offerings. We have also spotted a number of people in Arket, aka the place to go for elevated basics. Think sculptural suiting and printed base-layers. So without further ado, I present to you the 10 high-street buys we've seen all over London Fashion Week. Don't say we don't treat you.
Style Notes: Vens Wife Style's floral base-layer is a seriously cool way to layer this winter.
Style Notes: Suits are anything but boring, especially when they're from Arket. Just add a statement top to make it pop.
Style Notes: So many people have fallen for Zara's track-sole boots, and we can certainly see why. Make like Hannah Lewis and style yours with patent trousers.
Style Notes: Emma channels '70s styling with her jeans-and-blazer getup. Kitri's blouse adds a much-needed pop of colour.
Style Notes: A leather dress is at the top of our wish lists right now. Whistles' khaki number will do the job nicely.
Style Notes: Topshop's famed mesh dress now comes in a very cool checked print, as seen onBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's Zoe Anistasiou.
Style Notes: Inject some whimsy into your outfit with an oversize ruffled collar. Layer it over your jacket for added impact.
Style Notes: New Balance has had a bit of a revival over the last few months, and we love how this showgoer has used her to add an edge to polished separates.
Style Notes: You can't really go wrong with a pinstripe suit and chunky chain necklace. You can also dress it down for the weekend with a T-shirt and sneakers.
Style Notes: Dr Martens, the '80s classic, suddenly feel so current. Sturdy, comfy and so cool. They're the perfect winter boots.
