Buying a winter coat is like a rite of passage—something instilled in us as children growing up in the UK (for me, it was tradition that my grandparents took me to find mine every September). And as adults it’s a process we still partake in, albeit less frequently—perhaps every few years we’ll invest in a really good one that adds to our collection. Maybe this year you’re on the look out for a practical puffer coat (probably to wear inside as well), or a smart wool style to multi-task for you. Whichever style is on your radar for 2022, let me point you in the direction of H&M

The high street favourite has just dropped its yearly outerwear collection, and it’s full of expensive-looking designs that tick every trend—as well as all the classics. Of course, if you’re looking to make an investment in a high quality coat that will last for many, many years, it’s probably wise to spend a little more away from the high street. But if it’s an affordable, reliable style you’re in the market for that will see you through this winter in style, take a look below and we can promise you won’t be disappointed.

Clearly, puffer coats aren’t going anywhere (no complaints here), and there’s a number of seriously cosy options available—from longer quilted styles to shorter chunkier versions. Personally, I’m after a classic camel coat this year, and I’ve got my eye on the wool-blend styles from H&M’s Premium Collection (insider tip—I always opt for the premium pieces at H&M to ensure the quality matches up to the design).

Keep scrolling to see every coat from the brand’s latest outerwear collection, along with some more of our favourites that have been dropping over the last few week…
