In a post-pandemic world, it seems cozy dressing is the only viable option. Opting for luxurious fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, and dress-up-or-down pieces is the best investment for a functional wardrobe. If you’re like me, those are the worth-it pieces since they get reached for way more than my past workwear.

Finding informal staple pieces is one of my favorite ways to create a wardrobe with longevity. Plush cashmere, fuzzy shearling, and oversize (yet well-cut) pieces are great ways to choose comfort. The best part about these pieces is you can wear them in a more formal way with some of your tailored items or very casually with other cozy kin

J.Crew proves to be one of the leaders in elevated comfort dressing. And I can’t stop thinking about the below 24 pieces for adding polished practicality to my 2023 closet. Shop the plushest options below for ultimate comfort dressing.
