White boots for spring—groundbreaking, right? We get it. It's an obvious choice and not exactly a new trend, but it has stood the test of time (which is saying a lot because fashion can be very fickle). Jennifer Lawrence is clearly in the know about this, as she just stepped out in NYC wearing the number one jean-and-boot combination for spring: cream-colored ankle boots and light-wash, straight-leg jeans. It makes for a vaguely '90s look that you can't go wrong with right now, and it offers a welcome reprieve from winter's black boots and darker denim.
While in years past, stark-white boots have been the norm, 2019 is all about cream. The trending hue is easier to wear and looks great with all washes of denim but particularly the lighter wash that Lawrence is endorsing.
