Jennifer Lawrence Managed to Make Skinny Jeans and Flip-Flops Look Cool in NYC

When Jennifer Lawrence isn't gracing the big screen or the red carpet, she actually has a very chill, no-fuss aesthetic. That means plenty of T-shirts, denim, flats, and hats populate her wardrobe. This week in NYC, Lawrence stayed true to form with her relaxed look while on a stroll with rumored boyfriend, art dealer Cooke Maroney.

As you're probably aware, flip-flops are one of the most polarizing shoe styles on the planet, but Lawerence managed to pull them off—with skinny jeans, no less. To give the wardrobe basics a cool spin, Lawrence wore them with a cropped graphic tee, crossbody bag, and newsboy cap with oversize sunglasses (presumably in an attempt to go incognito). And by choosing a high-waisted pair of skinny jeans and a top that exposed the waistband, Lawrence managed to make the jeans actually look flattering with flip-flops.

Check out Lawrence's polarizing outfit (and shop skinny jeans and flip-flops, naturally) below.
