"Who is Julia Fox?" might have seemed like quite a reasonable question in 2021, but now, just weeks into 2022, she's already the talk of, well, the entire internet. So much so, the word "viral" might be an understatement. The frenzy came after her candid "Date Night" photoshoot and feature with Interview (in which she and Kanye West confirm their relationship) went live and, subsequently, she went from being under-the-radar to thrust into the spotlight. After a slew of sightings together since then, you might think you already know everything there is to know about Julia Fox, but I beg to differ.

Yes, she's West's girlfriend, but no person should be defined by who they're dating. Keen on knowing more about the woman behind the headlines—her accomplishments, her talents, and, of course, her style (this is Who What Wear, after all)—I set about discovering all I could about the multihyphenate (without invading her personal privacy). And you know what? I'm now pretty obsessed with Julia Fox. Here's the low down-low, plus how we predict she'll influence 2022's fashion trends

WHO IS JULIA FOX?

Julia Fox is a 31-year-old Italian-American actor, artist, model, and filmmaker. Born in New York into a family that hails from Milan, Fox welcomed her first child in February 2021.

WHAT DOES JULIA FOX DO?

Let's rephrase that question: What doesn't Julia Fox do? As we've clarified, she has many strings to her professional bow, but Fox is perhaps best known for her debut performance in the 2019 film Uncut Gems, which earned her Breakthrough Actor Award nomination at the 2019 Gotham Awards. Prior to this breakout role, she designed clothes and even co-founded a knitwear brand Franziska Fox. Post Uncut Gems, Fox went on to write the script for Fantasy Girls, a short film about a group of teenage girls involved in sex work. After its release, she told Paper Magazine; "I hope I can do more things like [Fantasy Girls] and give people a voice using mine, while also raising awareness for causes that I think are really important—doing it in an artistic way so people will be into it and it will get more attention that way."

WHAT IS JULIA FOX'S STYLE LIKE?

Once described by Vogue as a "bombshell," I have to agree, as it seems like the most fitting word to describe her aesthetic. She proclaims Anna Nicole Smith to be her style icon, and I can immediately see how Smith has influenced Fox's wares, though cultivated with her own sharpness and bite. From what we've seen of her so far, Fox has demonstrated an eye for all-things Y2K; she appreciates form, colour and texture, and is prepared to be experimental with it. A modern-day bombshell—a fashion force in her own right. But with Kanye? We predict her looks will turn up a few notches.

"Knowing how invested Kanye is in the art of style and that his decisions can shape a whole mood and a whole lot of people (not to mention that he and Kim Kardashian worked very collaboratively on her wardrobe) makes me think we have some jaw-dropping fashion moments to come from this couple," Hannah Almassi,Best Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's Editor in Chief says. "I'll be waiting for those emails with exclamations such as 'searches for low-rise leather trousers have risen by 4700% in the last 24 hours' as they take some daring choices, all diluted down with hype streetwear pieces and the most casual-looking über-luxury items money can buy.”

The couples' Interview shoot offers a mere glimpse into Julia Fox's evolving style. While we wait anxiously for what she'll wear next, scroll on to take a look at some of her most noteworthy looks to date.

Her latest look, Fox embraced standout outerwear in this Sies Marjan coat, under which she wore exposed-thong trousers from Miaou.

Julia Fox takes on two of the season’s biggest trends: feathers and sparkles.

Now, this is a FROW look. Fox understands the assignment at a Moschino subway—sorry, runway—show.

One of her sleekest outfits yet, this wide-leg-trouser and-matching-top look is timeless.

Back at it again in cobalt blue, which is swiftly becoming one of her signature colours. Handily, it's easy to replicate on a budget, too.

Crystal mesh is a thing right now, but Fox was already wearing it in 2019.
