When it comes to Hollywood's most stylish women, Kate Bosworth makes my short list. It doesn't matter if the actress is dressing for the Met Gala or is simply out running errands, it's clear she's passionate about fashion. From the moment our interview at the #GiltLife house began, my sneaking suspicions about her fashion genius were confirmed. As I asked Bosworth about current trends, she thoughtfully touched on some of my favorite moments from New York Fashion Week as well, noting the sense of playfulness at Altuzarra, and the art of Rodarte.
As our conversation continued, Bosworth eagerly shared a few of her favorite trends for fall, along with her love of denim, including an adorable story about how she found the perfect pair of vintage boyfriend jeans (they were handed down from someone special).

Bosworth shared her secret to finding the perfect vintage boyfriend jeans, she got them from her husband, Michael Polish. "I have a pair of my husband's Levi’s from college that I wear; they’re very loved and very lived in," she said. "Now I’m getting a second life out of the Levi's, and I know they're really vintage because they were on him a while ago now."

Curious about what made Kate's must-have list for fall? "[Isa Arfen] sent me a crushed velvet pink coat that I’m excited to wear for the fall. Anything that’s really cozy for the upcoming months is going to be on me," she said.
For footwear, Kate's embracing the Western trend, "I’m very excited to wear cowboy boots. I have a pair from Fausto Puglisi. I’m wearing a pair of cowboy boots that he designed that I’m obsessed with."
The third must-have on Kate's list? "Nice leather pants are a must-have for the fall and winter."

While each season denim trends come and go, don't expect to see Kate give up on skinny jeans anytime soon. "I’ll always have a pair of skinnies in my wardrobe. I don’t think they’ll ever leave because really I think it’s about proportions. Oftentimes, you want something a little more tailored at the bottom, and it’s important to have different fits in your wardrobe."
