Kate Moss Just Wore the #1 Dress-and-Shoe Pairing for 2022

Kate Moss sightings are certainly rarer than we’d like, but after clocking her latest low-key ensemble, our editors are in agreement on one thing: They’re always worth the wait.

Though she and her lookalike daughter, Lila Moss, turned heads at the 2022 Met Gala extravaganza this week, the look we’re referring to is one she wore for a day spent in the city ahead of the glitzy event.

As always, Kate Moss proved to be right on-trend, as the supermodel was seen out running errands before her turn on the red carpet. For the outing, Moss chose an elegant floral-print maxi dress with red buds popping against the classic black backdrop of her frock. If you’ve consulted our trend report, then you’ll already know that maxi hemlines are a key look for spring/summer 2022, so it’s little wonder that Moss was quick to wear one.

One trend-ticking item, however, wasn’t enough for the fashion icon, who wisely decided to pair her maxi with of-the-moment platform heels. Finishing her get-up with some oversized Velvet Canyon sunglasses, Moss gave us precisely the sort of look we’d expect from her, as she draws on the influence of the ’70s to form her achingly cool aesthetic.

It goes without saying that we were impressed by Moss’s showstopping Met Gala look, but this outfit is arguably what the model does best—an elevated take on everyday wear that we can hardly resist copying. Handily, this is one Kate Moss outfit that you can emulate on any budget. Scroll below for proof.
