Seriously, My Lips Have Never Looked So Good—This Product Is Worth the Hype

AsBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK's junior beauty editor, I'm lucky enough to be able to try a lot of different hairmakeup and skincare products on a daily basis, and every now and again, I come across something so good that I question how I ever lived without it. This month, it's the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

Im sure you've already heard of this trending lip balm. In fact, it's become a bit of a cult beauty product over the years, claiming to pump lips full of hydration and leave them intensely soft and smooth and healthy-looking. However, as someone who has always suffered with dry, chapped lips, I was reluctant to give it a go, as I've been yet to find a product that actually helped.

I've tried my fair share of lip balms, lip oils and even lip exfoliators, but nothing has truly stood out to me. However, after the Laneige product landed on my desk, I was intrigued by the idea of an overnight mask for your lips. Not only that, but I was drawn in by the delicious range of flavours (berry, mango, chocolate and vanilla, to name a few).

So, I decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad that I did. Keep on scrolling for my honest review.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Review

First things first, let's talk about the packaging. The lip mask comes in a round pot, which isn't always my preferred choice as it's a little bit clunky to carry around and I don't always like using my finger to apply the product. However, after opening it up, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it comes with a small spatula to help apply the product onto the lips.

I opted for the mango flavour, which has a fresh, fruity scent. The brand recommends applying a generous amount at night and leaving it on as you sleep so that you wake up with soft, nourished lips. The formula includes antioxidants to help remove dead skin, alongside vitamin C and coconut oil to protect and hydrate.

I was immediately impressed by the mask's texture. It feels really nourishing yet super lightweight on the lips, and it doesn't leave that dreaded sticky residue. It also adds a nice sheen, which is always a bonus.

Upon application my lips already appeared hydrated and plumper, but I was keen to see how they would feel the next morning. After waking up and going to look in the mirror, I was so impressed by how soft they looked and felt. There wasn't any dry skin in sight, which is really rare for me.

In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to reapply it that morning and wear it as my chosen lip product for the day. The mask kept my lips feeling nourished for hours, and when a couple of my friends actually asked what lip gloss I was wearing, they were shocked to find out that it was actually a mask.

I've now been using the product for almost a month, and I'm still blown away by the results. Although I'm often opposed to buying things just because they're overly hyped on social media, I have to stay that the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask really does live up to its expectations.

I've barely made an indent in the pot, so I know it's going to last me a good while, which helps to justify the slightly higher price point compared to standard lip balms. All in all, I couldn't recommend it enough, so keep scrolling to shop…
