5 Throw-On Shoes London Fashion People Are Exclusively Wearing With Skirts
With the warmer weather firmly here, the chicest people in London have dug out their skirts in celebration. As someone who has always found shoe pairings tricky, I've looked into how our stylish friends are pairing skirts this season, and it seems these five styles are firm favourites.
There's no denying that maxi styles are definitely having a moment right now, but of course midi skirts and even minis remain staples in many wardrobes. It's no surprise really, as there's so many styling possibilities when it comes to skirts, allowing you to build an outfit for all occasions. Add a simple tee and trainers and you're ready for a casual weekend, or slip into a chunky leather flip flop and throw on a satin shirt to head out to dinner. Skirts are truly versatile, and from my research can be paired with almost any shoe, but if you're interested in the five styles that fashion people in London are backing right now, keep on scrolling.
Wherever you're headed, and whichever hem length you're leaning towards, these are the shoes that London girls are pairing with skirts for 2024.
5 SKIRT-AND-SHOE PAIRINGS I'M SEEING IN LONDON
1. TRAINERS
Style Tips: I'm a big fan of any outfit pairing that calls for trainers. The comfort and ease makes these a no brainer in my opinion, and if you're lucky enough, you can wear this pairing for everything from running errands to work.

The brown colourway is especially elegant.
2. CHUNKY FLIP FLOP
Style Tips: The easiest way to elevate your skirt, no matter the hemline, is with a sleek pair of flip flops. Go for a chunky platform wedge for the 2024 update and wear with everthing from maxi lengths to mini.

The influencer favourite... We are big fans of this new colourway from the comfortable footwear brand.
3. LOAFERS
Style Tips: For the perfect balance of style and comfort, a great pair of loafers should be on your list. If trainers aren't your style, or feel too casual, pair your skirt with timeless loafers.

4. BALLET FLATS
Style Tips: The ballet flat revival is well underway, with this delicate shoe making a huge comeback this year. The flat shoe adds a delicate touch, and will upgrade your outfit for evening without the discomfort of heels.
Shop the Look:
Yep they are going to go with everything in my wardrobe, all year round.
These come in so many gorgeous colours, but the off-white feel especially expensive.
5. CHUNKY SANDALS
Style Tips: Take it from Karina, we're in sandal season. For the summer months, a great pair of understated sandals can be slipped on as an easy way to finish your skirt

These staples will serve you well summer after summer.
We're mildly obsessed with the metal toe-ring detail.
