Rihanna Wore the Necklace Trend That's About to Take Over in 2021

I love new jewelry trends. The reason being, you can wear them every single day (unlike, say, a dress trend). They're also a bit subtle, so even if a particular jewelry trend isn't quite as popular as it once was, you can still easily get away with wearing it. My point is, you might already be wearing 2021's biggest necklace trend without even knowing it. That' trend is long necklaces.

First came the choker trend, then dainty necklaces, and then, of course, the chunky chain necklaces that we all still know and love. It's only natural that long necklaces make their big comeback now, and they happen to look amazing with the aforementioned chunky chain necklaces, as none other than Rihanna just proved. For a dinner out in Los Angeles last night, Rihanna made her chunk necklace look quite fresh by adding a long chain necklace.

On the S/S 21 runways of Chanel, Chloé, Dior, Victoria Beckham, and many more, long necklaces were widely used to help create a relaxed '70s vibe that was effortless and cool. Rihanna opted to wear hers with more of a '90s look and it worked just as well.
