Madewell isn't one of my usual online haunts, but when I hear a major sale is going on, you better believe I'm going to check it out. One thing you are guaranteed to find at Madewell is a great set of elevated basics, so that was what I had top of mind while perusing the site. Not only did I find the effortless button-down shirts and classic denim the brand is known for, but I was also happy to come across a cool selection of options that are perfect for spring, summer, and beyond. The sale runs from now until Tuesday, April 12, and you can get up to 40% off.

Some of the standout pieces are the modern cardigans that can be worn alone or over a basic T-shirt or pretty dress. I was also drawn to so many of the lightweight jackets in simple cuts that are super stylish for spring layering. The swimsuits? I want them all—they're minimalist in their design and can be worn for years to come.
