3 Home Trends Everyone Should Try in 2021, According to Maria Sharapova
Maria Sharapova has no shortage of projects to keep her busy during post-tennis retirement (aka her Second Life). The five-time Grand Slam champion runs a candy brand, is getting married, and invests in companies like Supergoop!, Bala, and Therabody. Her latest endeavor? Sharapova has just partnered with Rove Concepts on a new collection of six home items, all with a serene, minimalist vibe that echos her own California home.
"Design and art have always been passions of mine," Sharapova toldBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing when asked about her decision to work with Rove Concepts. "Traveling for tennis, I always took extra time to explore the architecture and art in cities around the world. I took this personal passion a step further designing my own home a couple of years ago, so when the opportunity to partner with Rove came up, it felt like an exciting new challenge and a great way to continue learning in the design world."
Even though the calming, streamlined collection seems custom-designed for quarantine life, the collab had already been brewing by the time the pandemic hit. "We've actually been working on the collection for a couple of years now," Sharapova told me. "Working with their team was a really collaborative process, one that we put a lot of time, thought, and effort into, and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone."
Scroll down to find out Sharapova's three favorite home décor trends right now and to shop her just-released collaboration.
1. Layered Rugs
"Layer rugs from different styles. Using a jute rug as a foundational base, a smaller Turkish rug on top adds a pop of color and texture to the room."
2. Cherry Blossom Branches
"During spring, cherry blossom or forsythia branches in a vase on the kitchen or coffee table. They make for a beautiful centerpiece and reminder that summer is just around the corner."
3. Off-White
"I love fresh paint ahead of a new season," Sharapova toldBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing . "I'm always on the hunt for the perfect off-white hue. I recently renovated a guest room using Clare in Timeless. Clare is a female-founded direct-to-consumer business I discovered while searching for toxin-free formulas."

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
