Meet All the Fly Girls Performing at Coachella

In case you haven’t heard, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicks off today, meaning that hundreds of off-duty ladies 'n’ gents are flocking to Indio, Calif. to get their groupie on. Music festival lineups are still overwhelmingly male, but with each passing year, the female rocker presence seems to grow, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! To give these talented ladies the attention they deserve, we’ve rounded up the coolest chicks performing at this year’s festival.

Scroll down to study up on the flyest girls at Coachella this year, and, if you’re feeling inspired, shop some of their favourite styles, too!

WHO: Charlotte Kemp Muhl of The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger

WHAT: Kemp Muhl is in an avant-garde folk band with her boyfriend Sean Lennon (yes, the son of that Lennon and Yoko Ono). Listen to "Animals" to get the full, trippy gist.

WEAR: The musician favours '70s-inspired shapes and all things vintage. We could definitely see her rocking this vest or suede jacket.

WHO: Marina Lambrini Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds

WHAT: Diamandis is the Welsh singer-songerwriter who fronts Marina and the Diamonds, an indie pop group. Check out the nostalgic video for her song "Immortal" to get a sense of her music style.

WEAR: The singer is often seen in retro styles with cartoonish elements. She'd love this swing dress or these cat-eye sunnies.

WHO: Lykke Li

WHAT: The Swedish songstress is known for a mix of upbeat electropop and heartbreaking ballads, all of which include a wide range of instruments from violins to African drums. Listen to "Get Some" and you'll be instantly hooked.

WEAR: Li prefers all things minimal and black. We can totally see her rocking this sleek vest with these slim trousers.

WHO: Annie Clark of St. Vincent

WHAT: Known for what some call "art rock," the multi-instrumentalist has performed with everyone from David Byrne to Sufjan Stevens. "Digital Witness" is her latest, super dance-y track.

WEAR: Clark lives in quirky mini-dresses. She'd love this little lace number or this adorable Miu Miu shift.

WHO: Azealia Banks

WHAT: The controversial rapper is known for bringing attention to issues like racism and misogyny, topics she doesn't shy away from in her music. "212," an ode to her hometown of NYC, shot her to instant stardom.

WEAR: Banks' style is hard to pin down, as she's always experimenting with prints, embellishment or sportswear. She would definitely love these Giuseppe Zanottis, or perhaps this beaded jacket.

WHO: Jenny Lewis

WHAT: Lewis originally fronted the indie rock band Rilo Kiley, and has since pursued a solo career with music that has a folk-ier vibe to it. Listen to her mellow single "Just One of the Guys," and check out the VERY special guests in the video.

WEAR: Lately Lewis has been seen rotating a host of cool suits, and we can totally see her in this classic white blazer paired with sleek pants.

WHO: Ryn Weaver

WHAT: Weaver shot to fame after her song "OctaHate" on Soundcloud went viral and garnered attention from industry figures like Charli XCX and the producer Benny Blanco, who she's now working with.

WEAR: The California-bred beauty loves a good '70s flare and is often spotted in frilly, high-collared tops. We suspect she'd dig these pants and this lace top.

WHO: Kimbra Lee Johnson, known as Kimbra

WHAT: The mixed-genre musician hails from New Zealand and cites everyone from Prince to Jeff Buckley as influences. "Settle Down" is one of her most popular tracks.

WEAR: Johnson prefers '50s pin-up girl shapes and styles, so she'd probably love these high-waist shorts or this A-line dress.

WHO: Tahliah Debrett Barnett, known as FKA Twigs

WHAT: Though she's in the news more lately due to her uber-famous beau, the singer's unique trip-hop tunes are worth an equal amount of attention. "Two Weeks" is her most popular song to date.

WEAR: Twigs has an exotic hippie aesthetic not easily found in contempoary stores. However, we could see her rocking this crystal headband or lace kimono.

WHO: Kiesa Rae Ellestad, known as Kiesza

WHAT: The deep house performer is very popular among the dance party set, and nightclubs love her. But her catchy single "Hideaway" managed to garner mainstream attention.

WEAR: Ellestad favours comfy skinny jeans and crop tops, so she'd probably live in this white pair and simple black top.

WHO: Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine

WHAT: As the lead vocalist of an indie rock band, Welch has leant her amazing yet haunting voice to some of our favourite tunes, including "Kiss with a Fist" and "You've Got the Love."

WEAR: Welch is like a modern day Janis Joplin, living in flowing floral dresses or '70s suits. These maxi dresses are right up her alley.

WHO: Julia Stone of Angus Julia Stone

WHAT: As one half of the brother-sister duo that makes up her folk band, Stone works with her brother to craft uber-romantic, heartfelt lyrics that are perfect for falling in (our out of) love. Check out what we mean with "A Heartbreak."

WEAR: Julia is a big fan of dresses, both short and long, and often in lace. She'd probably love this crochet number, or perhaps this black drop-waist dress.
