No Surprise: Everyone Wants the Same Wedding Dress as Meghan Markle

There’s no denying that the Kate Middleton effect is a thing. And though not yet a part of the royal family, we’ve already seen the Meghan effect working its magic. Wide leg trousers, slouchy boots, and amazing coats are just a few of the pieces Markle has inspired us to invest in this season. However, her style influence isn’t just confined to the pieces she’s already worn.

In fact, it seems that a mere rumour of Markle donning an item is enough to increase sales—which is crazy, to say the least. Case in point: The designers Markle is rumoured to be considering for her wedding dress have already experienced a spike in search traffic.

According to the fashion search engine Lyst, brands including Erdem, Ralph Russo, Misha Nonoo, and Roland Mouret have all seen a 38-82% increase in searches since being speculated as Markle’s potential options.

Needless to say, whichever brand she does end up settling on is sure to be immediately sought-after. If rumours alone are apparently enough to create buzz for these brands, imagine what it’ll be like once she’s actually made a decision. Regardless of which designer she goes with, we’re sure it’ll be a gown to remember. All we can do for now is wait… and keep daydreaming about the possibilities.
