I Live in NYC But Just Spent the Weekend in Miami—Here's Everything I Wore

There are a few locations in the U.S. that I can visit over and over again. Miami is high on that list, and I'm the first to admit I can be a tough critic when it comes to visiting other cities. I have traveled to Miami more than any other city over the past three years, and every time I get ready to head down there, I'm more excited than the last. It's an extremely popular travel destination for New Yorkers. It is only a short flight, so you can leave in the morning and be there by lunch.

Some call Miami New York City's sixth borough, as it's the first place we flee to when the long winters feel never-ending and our seasonal depression becomes a problem that can only be solved with a trip to the beach. That time crept around two weeks ago for me and my friends who love Miami just as much as I do, so we packed our bags and headed to South Beach. On this trip, I was particularly excited because we were all staying at Eden Roc Miami Beach, one of my favorite hotels in Miami. On top of the fact that it's absolutely gorgeous, it's super centrally located near everywhere we wanted to go. The property has a restaurant of its own, Ocean Social (where I enjoyed the best brunch and frozen drinks), and of course, Nobu Miami is also located there. My friends and I had to stop down for crispy rice and lychee martinis, and it was so good I would put that in the running for my final meal.

Miami, for me, is all about the fabulous restaurants and beach clubs. Don't worry—we fit in a trip to Nikki Beach and Carbone. But what's most important is what I'm going to wear. The thing about Miami is it has an "anything goes" attitude when it comes to style, but there's definitely an emphasis on upping the sexy and having a little fun with it. For one of my looks, I chose a mermaidcore-inspired green-and-blue dress from Retrofête that gained me so many compliments and felt so Miami to me. While drinking rum punch and eating sushi on a daybed at Nikki Beach, I sported a cream three-piece swim look from Monday Swimwear and a sun hat from Brixton, which was also a big hit. I spent my last night away from the beach at the intimate Hotel Greystone and it was the perfect spot for my last night.

Keep scrolling to see all of the looks I brought with me to Miami along with some others that almost made the cut.
