All the Around-$100 Items That Have a Devoted Fashion-Person Fan Base
As a fashion editor, it's my job to keep a close eye on what people in the industry are wearing and talking about. It's the reason I follow a dizzying number of editors, designers, influencers, and stylists on Instagram and constantly refresh my feed for their latest outfit posts. Well, since I consider myself to be an expert in the wardrobes of stylish women around the world, I figured I'd put that knowledge to use by cataloging all the affordable shoes, clothes, and accessories that seem to be universally loved by them.
At around $100—and well below in the case of certain items—it's never been easier to emulate the style of a fashion girl (if that's what you're into). I know I'm always looking to what my fashion friends are wearing and how they're styling it, so I find it to be a little thrilling when I come across a popular item that's delightfully within my budget. Much to my satisfaction (and soon yours too), I've pinpointed nine such items that have earned a seal of approval from many, many fashion girls. They agree on these cool and affordable finds, and so do I. Keep scrolling to see and shop each beloved piece.
1. Hanes Ribbed Tank Tops
Each summer, I make a point of restocking my white tank tops and at least one of my orders involves the same Hanes 3-pack (conveniently always in stock on Amazon) that goes with all my warm-weather attire. I'm not alone, clearly, as fashion people worldwide are favoring the same basic ribbed tanks and making them look ultra cool.
2. Nike Logo Crew Socks
Yep, Nike's logo socks are officially an It item in the fashion world. With many of us staying home, socks have replaced shoes in importance, and it's none other than these that everyone seems to have a version of. Level up by styling an anklet on top of yours.
3. Levi's 501 Jeans
Every editor I know owns a pair of Levi's iconic 501 jeans. With their perfect mid-blue wash and goes-with-anything slim fit, I'm convinced they're one of the most well-loved and long-lasting jeans money can buy.
4. Birkenstock Slides
"Ugly" sandals are on the rise, and that includes Birkenstock's simple and comfortable slides. Once again, fashion girls have proved that they can make even these humble sandals look elevated, and yes, even trendy.
5. Mejuri Croissant Earrings
Gold hoop earrings are the jewelry staple everyone should have in their vanity, and Mejuri's charming croissant-inspired update has made these hoops wildly popular. I also own them and wear them nearly every day.
6. Entireworld Sweats
Loungewear brand Entireworld took the humble sweatsuit and made it into a must-have with its simple matching sets that come in a range of uplifting colors. Unsurprisingly, the brand is always selling out.
7. Nike Air Force 1 Sneakers
A pair of crisp white sneakers resides in every fashion person's closet, and among the most popular are Nike's iconic Air Force 1 sneakers. They lend a retro feel to everything from basic activewear to printed dresses.
8. Calvin Klein Logo Band Underwear
Comfy, affordable, and on-trend, it's not hard to see why fashion people stock their lingerie drawer's with Calvin Klein's logo-filled basics. The pieces are also consistently best-sellers at retailers like Shopbop.
Next up, the six random basics I'm wearing more than ever now.
