The second the weather warms up, I become acutely aware of the ways in which I can improve my bodycare routine. While I'm pretty good at exfoliating and moisturizing throughout the fall, winter, and spring, there's something about summer that makes me want to kick things up a notch. And by that, I mean reinforcing my routine with products that can brighten and firm my skin. For the former, I count on the Sanitas Skincare Vitamin C Body Serum ($38). For the latter, I've been using a new product that I'm extremely excited about…

The product in question is a body-contouring cream that promises to firm and tighten the skin to reduce the appearance of dimpling. I've tried firming body products in the past that were nothing to write home about, but this one is different. Not only does it offer real results, but Sofía Vergara also reportedly swears by it. The Product

Even though it's pretty expensive at over $100 per bottle, it's obvious that this stuff is legit when you take a look at the ingredients. They include aloe, caffeine, forskohlii root, white willow bark, hyaluronic acid, green tea, and shea and cocoa butters. There are also two patented ingredients. The first is a plant-based retinol alternative, and the second is a molecule that acts as an antioxidant and skin protectant. Together, these ingredients work to tighten and firm the skin. The brand even claims it can reduce the appearance of cellulite. That's certainly a bold claim and the one I was most interested in testing.

I have visible cellulite on my thighs. While it rarely bothers me (I'm a human, and humans often have cellulite), I was curious to see if this body-contouring cream could really deliver on smoothing and tightening. So I massaged it into my thighs in circular motions once a day after showering. I did this for about five days. The brand recommends using it twice a day for maximum results, but I simply didn't remember to apply it anytime except after I showered, so I stuck with a once-a-day habit. I have to say the results speak for themselves.

As you can see, the cream actually smoothed the appearance of the dimpling on my thighs. It also seemed to provide a slight tightening effect, which I loved. Sure, the results were subtle, but they were also powerful. To me, they were enough to justify the price tag. To be clear, I'm not sure if I'd use it in the fall and winter when I'm usually covered up by thick layers of fabric, but I will definitely use it throughout the spring and summer, which is when I'm more likely to show my legs in shorts and skirts.

I decided to maximize results with this lymphatic drainage body tool. It might look a little funny to the uninitiated, but this wooden tool is pretty transformative. It encourages lymphatic drainage, which can smooth and slim the look of the limbs. Take a look at my before-and-after pictures for proof

I would apply the body-contouring cream and massage it onto my thighs until it was absorbed. Then I would use this tool, moving it in short, quick strokes in an upward direction. In my experience, it only takes about five minutes to see and feel a difference.
