6 Easy Spring Trends That Editors Think Are Worth the Investment

As we near the end of winter and look ahead to spring, our wardrobes are calling out for a switch-up. With sunshine and warmer days breaking through the winter chill, we're looking to liven up our classic looks with an injection of colour and texture. As always, NET-A-PORTER is one step ahead with a slick pre-spring edit full to the brim with classics and a host of new looks and trends should you feel like dipping into something different.
True to form, the luxury platform has everything we need to fight the fashion fatigue that can set in between seasons. First, we were drawn to its plentiful range of modern forever pieces: simple designs in timeless cuts and colours with clever details and, of course, the highest quality production.
NET-A-PORTER'S denim selection also caught our attention. The humble fabric is once again in the designer spotlight for spring 2023, but with many twists for a fresh take on casual dressing. We're zeroing in on jackets to replace our winter coats, and the site has every style covered from staple trench coats to trending bomber styles.
Finally, if your wardrobe is calling out for new colour (one of the the easiest ways to hit refresh), then the site's bright dresses shouldn't be missed. There's plenty more to cover, so keep scrolling to explore the new styles you need to rejuvenate your wardrobe right now.
1. MODERN CLASSICS
Every great wardrobe relies on foundation pieces. Right now, we're looking to freshen up the repertoire through texture, new silhouettes and unusual details.
Loewe's versatile Anagram dress has just been restocked.
Chloé collaborated with Akanjo, a social enterprise promoting local craftsmanship, to create this chic dress.
Loewe has taken the classic striped shirt a step further with a detachable collar and cuffs.
2. REIMAGINED DENIM
We've long relied on denim as a trusty part of our wardrobes, and with a new season on the horizon, designers have reimagined classic styles. If you're looking to freshen up your denim, NET-A-PORTER has offered up trench-coat styles, two-tone denim and more.
Combine two spring favourites, and you have yourself a denim trench coat.
There's a Western flair to this cleverly designed dress that makes it feel so modern.
3. LIGHT LAYERS
With brighter days ahead (finally!), we're excited to pull out our lighter layers. Our puffer coats have served us well over the coldest winter days, but as spring peeks around the corner, we turn once again to trench coats, light jackets and leather styles.
Loewe has reconfigured this spring staple with cut-out details on the sleeves and back.
4. DOPAMINE DRESSES
If your wardrobe is calling out for quick rejuvenation, then why not try an injection of colour? As you know, we love a great dress, and NET-A-PORTER has all the goods. Find a bold throw-on-and-go day dress, or invest in a colourful evening piece that is sure to bring you joy.
If formfitting pieces are your thing, then Saint Laurent has you covered.

Go bold with this incredible colour-block dress.
We're already planning ways to wear this bold dress all year round, including with knee-high boots, block heels, and summer sandals.
5. NEW NECKLINES
After months of cosy turtlenecks, this transitional season is the opportunity to reveal a bit more. Necklines are emerging right now as their own micro-trend, with off-the-shoulder styles and halter-neck shapes reminding us that warmer days are on the way.
We think this might be the nice top that jeans were made for.
The halter-neck top, dropped shoulder and corset bodice show the skill in this design.
The leather fabric grounds the delicate design.
6. OUTFIT UPGRADERS
Never underestimate the power of accessories. Though they're often small, accessories have the power to make or break an outfit. And if you're looking to refresh your wardrobe, swapping in a new pair of shoes or bag can take your look from good to great.
Show you're in the know by adding a pair of ballet flats to your wardrobe rotations.
