These Are the Australian Labels You'll Still Be Wearing in 2018
For such a small population, Australia has so many incredible designers, with more and more popping up each year. Last year, we predicted new labels Sir The Label, Matin, and Double Trouble (among others) would be the top emerging brands to watch, and we have to admit, we have been seeing these newcomers everywhere.
Fashion is very different today to how it was, say, 20 years ago. The power of an Instagram account can help catapult a brand into the public eye much quicker than more traditional methods, like editorial coverage or celebrity endorsement.
The brands you're about to discover below are not on our list of emerging labels because they're 'big' on Instagram. It's because each brand offers something unique—whether that's a new vibe, affordable price point, or something exciting we haven't seen before.

daisy
Still only in its early days, Daisy has caught the eye of Vogue editors and It-girls like Kim Kardashian and Steph Shep. It's whimsical, sexy, and nostalgic.
posse
Inspired by muses past and present, Posse's first collection of slip dresses, gingham separates, and flat espadrilles, feels like a French summer escape. We think the flirty and feminine designs will keep girls coming back all year.
elissa mcgowan
Emerging label Elissa McGowan is ethically manufactured, so you can feel good about what you're wearing. The brand describes itself as elegant, intelligent, and directional, and we couldn't agree more.
Kacey Devlin
Kacey Devlin's multi-functional designs make the label truly unique. With interesting 'missing' panels and slinky shapes, we're excited to see where the label goes next.
par femme
Par Femme aims to help you find those missing basics you didn't even realise you were missing. The label launched in November 2016, and is already proving to be immensely popular. We have a feeling this tee will be the T-shirt to own this year.
The One
While we have no shortage of linen labels in Australia (the fabric is so perfect for our climate), The One nails the perfect combo of affordable pricing and on-trend shapes and designs. And this is only the beginning.
