23 Sensational New Boots From Chanel, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, and More
It's officially decorative gourd season, but how can you think about shellacked vegetables at a time like this? There are too many new fall arrivals to be spending your money on, folks—and in the words of the viral article's author, they're going to make your shit look "so seasonal." Oh, and in case we're not convincing enough, none other than Anna Wintour agreed that boots are the best fall accessory to invest in, so you might as well listen to us already.
After sifting through new arrivals as well as street style photos from fashion month, I decided to narrow down the best fall designer boots into three categories: lug-soles, heeled boots, and lace-up versions. If you can't stop staring at Aimee Song's golden Chanel boots in the photo above, you're not alone—they're perhaps the shiniest, most showstopping eye candy I've seen in a while. Scroll down to shop the best new designer boots for fall.
Lug-Sole Boots
Lug-sole boots are not only chic, but they're also practical for snowy and icy weather. If you don't want to hit up your local REI, Chloé and Rag Bone are among the designers offering elevated hiking boots (no dirt trails necessary). Lug-sole boots are a trend that has been all over the street style scene during fashion month, but we're quite partial to Xenia Adonts's interpretation below.
Heeled Boots
Ever feel like you can conquer the world in a pair of heeled boots? Especially if you're on the shorter side, heeled boots are the perfect way to add height without the discomfort of pumps. Jimmy Choo makes especially great fall versions while Aimee Song's Chanel showstoppers are the ultimate eye candy.
Lace-Up Boots
For fall 2019, Marc Jacobs and Christy Dawn are both offering stellar versions of Victorian-inspired lace-up boots, and we're here for them. On the other end of the spectrum, plenty of designers are churning out chunky, snow boot esque iterations

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
